Certified Yoga and Sculpt Instructor with a passion for sharing the transformative power of these practices with students of all levels.I encourage everyone to listen to their bodies, respect their limits, and explore new challenges when they feel comfortable. I love bringing a lighthearted energy to class, infusing creative pose variations, a relaxed tone, and an occasional dad joke.

Allison Lyneham
Certified Vinyasa instructor and 4Beat instructor, taught vinyasa regularly at Yoga Pearl, the Prana Store, Yoga on Yamhill and Yoga Union prior to the pandemic. Yoga found me around 2000 and I was initially drawn to the emphasis on breath and listening to my body. As a professionally trained ballet dancer, yoga showed me another way to be in communication with and move my body.

My ongoing passion is to bridge the ecology of healing traditions with yoga, combining breath, relaxation, meditation, nutrition, community and open-hearted dialogue to create spaces in which we support each other in becoming healthier and happier in all ways..

Ankit Jain
200 hour YTT Certified, completing 100 hour Yen YTT. Originally a YoY student, has been teaching with us over the last year with Upward Yoga! Ankit focusses on restorative yoga, yin yoga and meditation. Yoga is your union with yourself. I believe that yoga can be whatever you want it to be. My approach to teaching is to explore the connection between body and mind through mindfulness while holding yoga asanas in a class. I am also an engineer with a PhD in engineering.

Glen Bristow
Certified Yoga Instructor with additional certificates in Pranayama (traditional yogic breathwork) and Essentials of Ayurveda (yoga’s “sister science”). My goal and promise as a yoga instructor is to help my fellow yoga students sift through the nearly infinite opportunities that yoga offers to find the practices, tools, and mindsets that empower them to embrace their birthrights of contentment, peace, and joy.

Sunray Gmeiner-Perez
Sunray is a genderqueer Filipino-American traveling yogi based in the Pacific Northwest. He is a community builder, yoga teacher, retreat leader and nature enthusiast. He has facilitated and taught at various retreats in the US, Canada and Mexico. He shares his unique perspective of Eastern wisdom and spirituality from a Western point of view, combining elements of Tai Chi and Qigong in his teaching styles.

Heidi McKenna
For 20 years, Heidi has devoted her life to both her yoga and meditation practices. Having taught locally and internationally, for over 15 years, she guides others in living fully. Her classes and sessions integrate her clients' self-inquiry and life experiences, supporting each person in their path to inner joy and freedom.

Alessandra Rueegger
Certified Yoga Instructor and teaching since 2010. My goal as a teacher is to make every one feel that they belong no matter where they are on their yoga journey. I want people to know that they are enough, that it is okay to be challenged, that they are part of something wonderful and that they can show up for their community and themselves no matter how they feel.

Devany Bright
200 hr. Contemporary and 75 hr. Somatic CYT, Devany’s yoga journey starts with a contemporary certification. This style allows her to cultivate spaces with intention, using music and it’s energies as a coteacher. A divine download led her straight to somatics. Through embodiment, she tuned into her trauma. She belives that humans are born with an innate capacity heal by transmuting their inner chaos into forward movement. She prides herself on bringing breathwork, rituals, and more.

Zoë Galle
CYT in Iyengar/Vinyasa focussed on technical alignment and creative flow. Ayurvedic & Somatic Healer/Coach, trained in trauma-informed approaches to teaching thru the Lineage Project. Also a dancer (30 years) and multimedia artist. I help others harness their agency and fullest self expression. Movement is my mother tongue, and I am passionately learning and sharing the many maps and archetypes outlined in the Vedas, Buddhism, Jungian Psychology, and embryology in my practice.

Chumki Chakraborty
Somatic coach, Sound Healing practitioner, Reiki practitioner, Forest Therapy Guide, and founder of Moss and Moksha. She seamlessly integrates the body's wisdom with holistic modalities, drawing inspiration from Eastern spiritual principles to heal deep-seated inner child and familial wounds, and to overcome limiting beliefs.

Alicia Johnson
A Certified Yoga Instructor, Alicia's experiences and practice have brought her to many types of yoga, and from those she bases her teaching on an intelligent alignment flow. The practice she teaches makes use of creativity, humor, and mindfulness, all with a foundation based on the study of the ashtanga lineage and using the awareness of breath as a guide.

Mikaela McSchane
Certified sculpt instructor focused on functional fitness and intentional movement. I have practiced yoga and strength training for ten years, in various forms and modalities. My goal in this class is to make everyone feel strong and capable in their bodies and to remember that movement can be powerful and playful. My approach to teaching is lighthearted and energetically driven by my students.
