Sound Circle (Canna Sound Bath Journey)
A cannabis-friendly sound bath journey blending sound, breathwork, meditation, and connection.
Service Description
Join us for a very unique and "very Portland" weekly cannabis-friendly sound bath medicine journey. Together, we’ll experience the healing power of sound bath, breathwork, meditation, and heartfelt connection to explore and deepen your bond with yourself and everything. If you’re ready to relax your mind, immerse yourself in soothing vibrations, and build meaningful connections within a like-minded community, you are warmly welcomed. New participants are warmly welcomed, as well as our non-local travelers enjoying our city. WHAT TO EXPECT (subject to change based on group energy) -— New Friend Introductions and Chit-Chat —- Part 1: Bless the Mess & Spirit Leaf Ritual The circle opens with a blessing to the space and souls. We tune the body with simple, mindful, somatic stretches and breathwork. Part 2 — Sound Bath A guided meditative journey with crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, harmonium, and miscellaneous shamanic instruments. Part 3 — 2 Minute Meditation Sprint We gently enter a 2-minute seated meditation after our relaxing and grounding sound journey. Part 4 — Incense Ceremony / Energy Release With the sharing rattle, we share and reflect on being mindful and present. Occasionally, we'll release a cathartic collective "yell" or "sigh". -— Intermission —- Part 5 — Energy Work We ease back into an energy-centered sound bath with subtle Reiki undertones, slowing the experience to a near stillness before gently guiding everyone back with Graham’s signature “zesting” and a closing of the circle. Part 6 — Farewell Song & Integration Group goodbye song and conclude with sharing experiences. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS • Do participants/students play instruments? No, the session is typically more of an active meditative experience. You'll be guided to explore different meditation, breathwork, and some mindful movement. There is a goodbye song at the end where you are welcome to sing along. • Am I required to smoke or eat edibles? No — You can come and enjoy the journey in the way that you prefer. We do not allow hard drugs. • How smoky does it get? It's really not that bad. We try to keep it intimate with 12 people, and the space is a good size. If it does get a little "too much," we can turn on the fans or open the windows. Also, there's a small atrium off of the prop closet where you can take a breather if you're feeling the call. • Do I have to participate? Yes. Be brave. You can do it.
