Yoga on Yamhill will be increasing the rates soon. Understanding why prices are going up and how to adapt can help you maintain your practice without breaking the bank. This article explores the reasons behind the increase, offers practical tips for managing costs, and highlights ways to keep yoga accessible for everyone.
Why Are Studio Rates Increasing?
Several factors contribute to the rising costs of yoga studio classes. The major reason is the increase in operational expenses. Due to a recent 60% rent hike, utilities, maintenance supplies and cleaning, we've made the difficult but humbling decision to increase class rates.
The suggested class rates will be going up by $5. Therefore the minimum recommended donation of $15 will become $20. The other sliding scale options will increase by $5 as well. This rate increase will take effect starting March 15, 2026.
Our Mission Remains The Same
Please know our mission is still rooted in providing yoga for all, at as low a cost as possible. Even with this rate increase, we are still one of the lowest drop-in class fees compared to other yoga and movement studios around the city.

How to Manage Rising Yoga Studio Costs
Despite the increase in rates, here are some ways to keep your yoga practice affordable and enjoyable.
1. Explore Class Packs
These packages are bulk discounted as you are purchasing multiple classes upfront with bonus classes included. These options can reduce the cost per session significantly.
We have a Buy 3 get 1 free pack for $45. And a Buy 7 get 3 free pack for $105. If you purchase these before the 15th, you can lock in these rates.
2. Take Advantage of Community Classes
We will be offering a fully donation-based community class weekly designed to be accessible to all. These sessions support the goal of promoting accessible yoga for all, regardless of financial situation, while fostering a supportive community for personal growth and well-being. Look for this new class on our schedule starting in April.

Sliding Scale To Fit Your Budget
You can still choose from all of our sliding scale options, so you can pay what works best for you. If this rate increase presents a hardship, please reach out to us via email and we will do our best to work with you.
We sincerely hope you understand this decision wasn’t made lightly. Unfortunately it is necessary in order to keep our doors open and the lights on. We realize how important our work is in serving our community during these heavy and unbearable times..
Thank you so much for your continued support of our gifted teachers and our studio downtown.
Sincerely
The Yoga on Yamhill team
