CASSIDY RICE

Cassidy was born and raised in rural Oregon and is a member of the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians. She has degrees from Reed College and Stanford Law School and in 2022, left the practice of law to pursue studies in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

Cassidy has been practicing yoga since high school and began a daily ashtanga practice in 2018. Cassidy credits ashtanga with bringing about much personal transformation. She studied primarily with Michele Loew at The Yoga Space, completing her 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training certification courses in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Cassidy has a deep personal devotion to yogic practices and philosophical study and enjoys sharing yoga as a method for cultivating awareness and accessing meditative states. Her classes, which are often a combination of asana, pranayama, and meditation, are accessible for all levels.
