JENNIFER JOHNSON

I began practicing initially as a pregnant mother with my first child, looking for a way to meet other soon-to-be-mothers. I continued practicing Yoga regularly and in many styles including Ashtanga and Bikram. In 2006 I began to practice Vinyasa and fell in love with the breath, flow, and movement of the style. As a full time mother of three, Yoga became a huge part of my life, both on and off the mat. After a ski accident in 2009 that required restorative knee surgery I looked to Yoga for physical, mental, and spiritual strength throughout my recovery. In 2010, with a desire to share my love of Yoga and its benefits with those around me, I completed my 200 hour Power Vinyasa teacher training with Corepower in Portland, OR and went on to complete Vinyasa Yoga teacher training with Jonny Kest at Zuda Yoga in Sacramento, CA. I have been teaching at Yoga on Yamhill since January of 2011, so it is certainly my yoga home.  In September of 2018 I completed my 500 hour teacher training with Modo Yoga in Seattle.  Seeing Yoga as a life long journey I find daily inspiration in not only what I give to my students but what they give to me.
